lens experiments: friday, union square

"everything shifts as you move, and different things come into focus at different points of your life, and you try to articulate that."

lens experiments: OWS at union square

OWS made good on a promised appearance at union square this afternoon.

i was stuck inside trying to finish a project, like a bobbed rapunzel trapped in her tower... by the time i made it down there, they had all moved on.

here was the view from the 5th floor:

read a good poem: the white

These are the moments
before snow, whole weeks before.
The rehearsals of milky November,
cloud constructions
when a warm day
lowers a drift of light
through the leafless angles
of the trees lining the streets.
Green is gone,
gold is gone.
The blue sky is
the clairvoyance of snow.
There is night
and a moon
but these facts
force the hand of the season:
from that black sky
the real and cold white
will begin to emerge.
