japantown: cool japan festival... SHIBUI (the goods)

my primary reason for attending the japantown festival was to meet my sister's friend sayumi, an accomplished jewelry designer and artist (she also teaches jewelry and metalsmithing here in the city).

sayumi was helping out her friends from shibui:

shibui is favored by discerning collectors of japanese antiques--if you're interested in adding to your trove or just browsing (which will eventually lead to buying. i have a beautiful antique wood candy mold, as proof) you should stop by their warehouse in dumbo--or visit their site.
